Type of Claim: Driver struck 33 year old man who was preparing to open his car door to enter vehicle, while standing next to vehicle on Reavis Barracks Road in St. Louis County. Case filed in federal court since drive was from Illinois and client was from Missouri. Defendant claim client in lane, but evidence showed several feet between the car and the line marking the beginning of the outside lane. Police found keys in door lock.

Damages alleged: Traumatic brain injury and fractured arm and soft tissue neck and back injuries. Disputed over clients employability.

Medical Bills: approximatley $100,000.00

Settlement: On the eve of trial, for $850,000.00
