My
name is Eric A. Ruttencutter and I was born in Los Angeles, California
in 1963. My family moved to St. Louis when I was seven years old.
I graduated
from Webster Groves Senior High School in 1981. I went to college
at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, and graduated
with a B.A. in Political Science in 1985.
I attended Washington
University School of Law and completed my Juris Doctorate degree
in 1989.
Immediately
thereafter I took and passed the Missouri Bar Examination and began
work for an insurance civil defense firm in downtown St. Louis.
I specialized in insurance defense litigation on behalf of many
nationally known insurance companies and their insureds.
This
experience was invaluable, since I learned how insurance companies
prepare their defense of cases involving automobile accidents, medical
malpractice, product liability and property damage claims.
In 1998 I began
work at Pedroli & Gauthier, where I now represent injured individuals
against the insurance companies.
I am licensed
to practice law before the Missouri State Bar, the Federal Court
for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Federal Eighth Circuit
Court of Appeals.
I have handled
hundreds of personal injury civil suits and workers
compensation claims. One of my recent workers compensation
cases created new law allowing recovery for mental stress as an
occupational disease.
I look forward
to continuing to represent individuals against the powerful insurance
interests.
